The 358 fence is named for its small-sized anti-climb welded mesh panels, with specifications of 3 inches × 0.5 inches × 8 gauge mesh panels, equivalent to a mesh aperture size of 76.2 mm× 12.7 mm× 4 mm. Due to this unique structure, the 358 fences, are widely recognized as the most difficult-to-penetrate rigid grid fences. The difference lies in the diameter of the wires. It is virtually impossible to damage it using ordinary cutting tools. Since it provides no footholds, the likelihood of climbing over it is extremely low.
